YOKOHAMA, Japan (Jan. 31, 2018) – Nissan’s e-POWER electric powertrain technology, which helped make the Nissan Note Japan’s best-selling compact car last year, has won a prestigious Japanese environmental award for its contributions to reducing CO2 emissions.
The Energy Conservation Center Japan (ECCJ), an organization backed by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, awarded e-POWER its Chairman’s Prize as part of the Energy Conservation Grand Prize Awards for fiscal 2017. Read more

YOKOHAMA, Japan (Jan. 30, 2018) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for December 2017 and calendar year 2017.
“2017 was our best-ever year for global sales and production,” said Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci, global head of marketing and sales. “The Rogue series set an annual sales record in the U.S. In China, we also delivered a record year of sales, bolstered by demand for both the Nissan and Venucia brands. We launched the new Nissan LEAF in October. Nissan will build on this momentum to bring Nissan Intelligent Mobility experiences to more customers globally.” Read more
RESENDE, Brazil – A major milestone was achieved this week by Nissan's Resende Industrial Complex, in Rio de Janeiro State in Brazil. Less than four years since start of operations, Nissan's plant in Brazil has produced its 200,000th engine – a 1.6-liter, 16V four-cylinder unit. This extremely energy efficient engine powers three Nissans made in Resende: March, Versa and Kicks. The plant also manufactures the 1.0-liter, 12V engine that equips the Nissan March and Nissan Versa. Read more
